New Renter

Median SibThe Median Sib is my newest BlogExplosion renter. Her tagline reads “A middle child speaks out on politics, education, social, family and personal topics.” Carol Shaw has a lot to say and you really ought to do yourself a favor and visit her site. She and I would probably not enjoy sitting down to a cup of coffee and having a political discussion, in fact I doubt that we would find much to agree on at all. I admire and respect her passion, however, and her willingness to stand up for what she believes in.

My favorite post is this recent one with a joke about a sailor in Nashville. Enjoy.

New Renter

I am very proud to say that my new renter is Lonnie Hodge and his blog One Man Bandwidth. Lonnie is “An American professor in China“, but he is much more. Be sure to read his “about me” page to see how impressive he really is!

At One Man Bandwidth you will get an insiders perspective on China. I’m sure you will find it as fascinating as I do.

My Renter

How could I have forgotten?! I have a new renter and I wish you would all please click on the image to the right to visit her site. While you’re there leave her a very nice comment, she’s lonely.

Julie’s Place is pretty new, but I can tell she has a lot to say. I’m anxious to see her blog grow and watch where she goes with it.

Thanks for renting, Julie!

My Renter: Haunted House Dressing

"Haunted House Dressing" is the official website of Jeremy C. Shipp.  Jeremy labels himself a writer, and indeed he is.  He might also fit neatly under the label of lunatic, but that’s quite alright with me.

Here’s what he has to say about his own site:

"This is a place where toasters run free and hippos climb trees. Read what you want. Ignore what you don’t. Laugh, cry, and tickle some nuns while you’re at it. They won’t mind. Throw a stinky old sock in the stinky old well, and all your dreams might come true (depending upon the humidity level). Beware of the garden gnomes lurking in (almost) every shadow. They’re waiting for their chance to climb on your head and do a jig. All in all, it behooves you to have some weird fun, and think some weird thoughts. If you don’t, the ground will open and an army of polka dot penguins will spew forth and eat up all the fish. And then they’ll die of mercury poisoning, and then you’ll feel guilty. Oh so guilty."

His humor is a bit out there, but just the kind of thing I enjoy. Go check out his site and review some of his work!

This Week’s Blog Tenant

Stephanie Davies is my renter again this week, yay! You can see her site "Mystickal Incense & More" by clicking on the thumbnail of her blog at the top of the sidebar on the right. Stephanie has a contest going this week. The rules are

to open whatever graphics program you wish - anything from plain ole’ Microsoft Paint to Photoshop or Fireworks. Whatever you want to use to make the picture. You need to make a painting (graphic) that involves 3 things: 1. A tree 2. A cat 3. the color purple (doesn’t have to be all purple, you just have to put purple in it!).

You can see my sorry attempt above. Hopefully you are more talented than I am. Give it a try!

New Renter

Stephanie Davies is my renter this week. Stephanie is the owner of "Mystickal Incense & More", featuring insense, soaps, and web design. It may seem like a strange combination when you add web design to that list, but as you can see on this site designed by her, she’s no slouch. Maybe I can enlist her services to help me with my sorry site. Here’s how Stephanie describes her blog:

This is the weblog of the website Mystickal Incense & More. It not only features occasional site news and product announcements, but a look into the personal life of the owner, Stephanie Davies. Stephanie hand-makes all of the incense, candles, bath & body products, and other items sold at Mystickal Incense. For this purpose, this is both a personal and business blog. Welcome!

Go visit her today, and tell her I sent you!
