A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, in North Valley Friends Church in Newberg for Pastor Richard Fred Benham, who died May 31 of heart disease at age 62.
Richard Fred Benham was born Dec. 1, 1945, in Portland. He received a master’s degree from George Fox University. He was a pastor of several Friends churches in Oregon and Washington. In 1965, he married Mikell Bolger.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Maya; sons, Jeff and Chris; sister, Louise Clements; brothers, LeRoy and Martin; and one grandchild.
