Why Do I Bother?

I have tried to make this theme to work for IE and have had no luck. I think the problem is in the transparent image that is used as the background for the posts and sidebars. I am also trying to implement collapsable/expandable menus. You can see on the left and the right sidebars my attempt at this, but it isn’t very pretty. I have figured out that problem, but fixing it requires some time that I would rather put into a new layout since I have to fix other problems as well. The new theme will likely be much like this one, but more friendly to those of you who insist on using IE as your browser. You really should get Firefox anyway, see the link button at the top of the left column, it is more functional and more compatible with current standards.

Here’s a quick update on my progress toward school and a new degree. I have completed and passed my entrance exam which was much easier than I thought it would be. You will be happy to know that I have at least a high school level understanding of English and Mathmatics (that’s not saying much these days). I have also completed all but one financial aid form. All that is left is a 20 minute interview with an admissions counselor, that last form, and to wait for the school to evaluate my college transcripts to determine where to place me. All of my general ed requirements are waived because of my AA degree, but there may be some pre-requisite courses to fill in. I suspect that I will have to take a couple extra math courses since I only went through Math 111. Classes start May 1st. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.
